Wallace William Edmonds, age 90, of Fairmount City, died Friday evening, October 28, 2011 at Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville.

Wallace William Edmonds
Born December 12, 1920 in Fairmount City, he was the son of the late Frank William Edmonds and Serena Belle Shick Edmonds.
He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II
Mr. Edmonds was a Union Carpenter. After his retirement he continued his carpentry work throughout the New Bethlehem area
He married the former Harriet Gertrude Bain, who survives.
Mr. Edmonds was of the Protestant Faith and in the past attended the Fairmount City EUB Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and camping at Presque Isle in Erie.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #522 of New Bethlehem.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Dennis R. Edmonds and his wife, Pamela, of New Bethlehem and Gary L. Edmonds and his wife, Laurie, of Oak Ridge; Four grandchildren: Christopher Edmonds, Rebecca Edmonds, Clint Edmonds and Amanda Luczak; Five great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Ava, Avery, Colton and Ella; One sister, Sarah Swyers of Atlanta, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Velma Nale and Ernistine Keener.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Rupert Funeral Home, 301 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in the funeral home with Reverend John Phillips officiating.
Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Distant, Armstrong County.
The Walter W. Craig America Legion Post #354 of New Bethlehem will accord military honors at the funeral home following the funeral service.
